To create a Global Consent Definition: Manage Global Consent

Set up your Consent Status, Consent Purpose, and any Additional Attributes first. A definition groups these attributes, so set up the attributes before you build the definition.

Some attributes are required, such as Consent Status and Consent Purpose. Global Consent Manager automatically includes them in every definition. Before you publish a definition, map at least one Data Subject or Contact Point attribute. For paired attributes, such as Brand ID and Brand Value, map both the ID and the value.

  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Privacy Center, and then select the Global Consent tab.
  2. Under Configuration, select Global Consent Definitions.
  3. Click New Global Consent Definition.
  4. Enter a name and optional description for the definition, and then click Next.
  5. Add the attributes for this definition.
Global Consent Manager automatically includes Consent Status and Consent Purpose. When you add an attribute, turn on the segment setting to include it in the definition's structure. Segment attributes determine how Global Consent Manager groups and indexes consent records.
