# Configure Additional Attributes

Add custom fields to consent records for business-specific data, such as product lines, division IDs, or delivery frequencies.

Additional Attributes extend consent records beyond the standard fields. Each attribute has a role that controls how it's used in consent processing. For example, a role can uniquely identify a record, define a rule, or carry an informational preference for a downstream system.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Privacy Center**, and then select the **Global Consent** tab.
2. Under **Configuration**, select **Attribute Management**.
3. In the **Additional Attributes** section, add attributes for each piece of business-specific data you want to track.
4. Select an **Attribute Type** that controls how the attribute is used in consent processing.
    
    - Select **Additional Partition ID** for an attribute that uniquely identifies a consent record, such as a business division.
    - Select **Additional Consent Parameters** for an attribute that defines a rule or segments records, such as a product line.
    - Select **Additional Consent Options** for an attribute that carries an informational preference for a downstream system, such as delivery frequency.
5. Save your changes.
