# Create a Data Management Policy

Create and save a new Data Management Policy. After your policy is created, you can give it objects to process.

### Required Editions

To create a Data Management Policy:

1. From the Privacy Center home page, select **Go to Data Management Policies**, and then click **New**.
2. Select **Data Management Policy**, and then click **Next**.
3. Give your policy a name and an optional description, and then save it.

You’re ready to add objects to your new policy.
