# Resume a Scan

Resume scans that skipped, timed out, completed with errors, or you’ve stopped. Resume the scan to finish scanning the remaining records without running a new scan and scanning records that already have results.

### Required Editions

1. Open the scan policy.
2. From the Scan Status card, click **Resume Scan**.
3. Click **Resume Scan**.

The scan resumes where it stopped.
