# Delete a List View in Lightning Experience

You can delete a list view when you no longer need it.

### Required Editions

Note These steps work in Lightning Experience. If you see the App Launcher icon (![App Launcher icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-xcloud-basics-264-0-0-production-enus/d8bf6981-f8ef-4f16-bfbd-c42ed32044eb/basics/images/app_launcher_icon.png)) on the left side of the navigation bar at the top of your screen, you're in Lightning Experience. If not, you're in Salesforce Classic.

1. Select a list view.
2. To access the list view controls, click ![List view controls](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-xcloud-basics-264-0-0-production-enus/d8bf6981-f8ef-4f16-bfbd-c42ed32044eb/resources-global/_corporate/images/gear.png).
3. Select **Delete**.
