# Credit Qualifying Points to Members

A Credit Qualifying Points to Members job calculates and credits qualifying points to members. This process credits points awarded to the member since it was last run.

A Credit Qualifying Points to Members template calculates and updates the members’ points balance aggregating the points for all qualifying currencies credited to the member since the job was last run. The points are grouped by each member and currency, and they’re based on whether the activity date belongs to the current or previous reset cycle. If the transaction belongs to the previous reset cycle, the balance is added to the previous period.

Important The Credit Qualifying Points to Members Data Processing Engine template is only available in orgs where the setting to update qualifying point balance of loyalty program members in real time is turned off.

**Input Variables**

You can define the input parameters for the calculation job so that the input values are passed at the time of job execution. These input values are considered while defining the filter criteria and expressions in different nodes. The input variable defined for Credit Qualifying Points is **Loyalty Program Name**. The value is passed while executing the Data Processing Engine job.
