# Send Loyalty Promotion Segments to Marketing Cloud Engagement

Use Marketing Cloud Connect or custom import or export jobs to send Loyalty Promotion Segment and Loyalty Promotion data to Marketing Cloud Engagement and send campaigns to the members.

### Required Editions

To send Loyalty Promotion Segments to Marketing Cloud Engagement, use Marketing Cloud Connect. For details, refer to [Marketing Cloud Connect Help](https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=mc_co_marketing_cloud_connect.htm&language=en_US).

Note Marketing Cloud Connect API user must be assigned the Loyalty Management permission set in the Salesforce org. This ensures that the Loyalty Management objects are available to be added as data sources for data extensions in the Engagement org.

To send campaigns to the members, do the following:

- Create content for your emails with the name of the promotion and loyalty program member email addresses using Email Studio content creation tools. For details on how to create email content, refer to [Email Studio > Content](https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=mc_es_content.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
- Use [Journey Builder](https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=mc_jb_journey_builder.htm&type=5&language=en_US) to orchestrate and automate marketing campaigns and message sequences.

If the member’s profile matches with the promotion data segment, an email is sent to the member. Based on the member’s interaction, the push notifications are sent, which enables the member to make a purchase. The activity gets recorded in the transactional journal.

Note If the Marketing Cloud Connect doesn’t list the loyalty entities, ensure to export data from Loyalty and import data into Engagement through custom jobs.
