# Create Benefit Action

Define the action to execute when a benefit is assigned to a member.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience in&nbsp;<strong>Enterprise</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Performance</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Developer</strong>&nbsp;Editions</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Orgs that have the B2C - Loyalty, B2C - Loyalty Plus, B2B - Loyalty, Loyalty Management - Growth, or Loyalty Management - Advanced license enabled</td></tr></tbody></table>

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter **Benefit**, and then select **Benefit Actions**.
2. Click **New**.
3. Provide the following details, and then save the changes.
    
     
    | Field | Description |
    | --- | --- |
    | Name | Enter the name of the benefit action. |
    | Description | Enter the description for the benefit action. |
    | Process Type | Select the **Loyalty** process type. |
    | Flow Definition | Select the flow required to execute the Benefit Action. |
    | Allow Benefit Update | Determines if the Benefit Action has to be executed on update to the Member Benefit record. The flow associated with the benefit executes based on the status of the Member Benefit. |
    | Allow Benefit Expiration | Determines if the Benefit Action must be executed on expiration of the Member Benefit. The Flow associated with the benefit executes based on the Status of the Member Benefit. |
    | Active | To activate the Benefit Action, select active. |
