# Add Benefits to the Benefit Type

Add benefits within the Benefit Type.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience in&nbsp;<strong>Enterprise</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Performance</strong>, <strong>Developer</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Unlimited</strong>&nbsp;Editions that have Loyalty Management enabled.</td></tr></tbody></table>

1. In the Loyalty Programs tab, open a Benefit Type record.
2. On the Related tab, click **Benefits**.
3. Click **New**.
4. Enter a name and description for the benefit.
5. Enter the Priority Sequence for the benefit.
    
    Priority Sequence is used to rank the benefits within a Benefit Type. If there’s a conflict, the benefit with the higher Priority Sequence is assigned.
6. If there’s a value associated with the benefit, enter a value.
    
    For example, you can provide value of the weight for a baggage allowance or discount percentage, if there’s discounts.
7. Select a unit of measure associated with the value, such as Percentage or Kilograms.
8. Select **Active**.
9. Save your changes.
