# Configure Duplicate Detection for Deal Registrations

Update the standard lead duplicate rule so channel managers can review duplicate deals without blocking partner submissions.

Complete channel manager page set up. Then add the Potential Duplicates component to the Lead record page.

1. In Setup, open **Duplicate Rules** and select **Standard Lead Duplicate Rule**.
2. Click **Edit**.
3. Under **Action on Create**, clear **Alert** and **Block**.
4. Keep the duplicate rule active and save your changes.
5. Submit a test deal that matches an existing lead, and verify that the duplicate appears in Potential Duplicates for channel managers.

Warning Do not deactivate the duplicate rule. Deactivation prevents duplicate detection and leaves the Potential Duplicates component empty.
