## Define Transit Time Details

Create a Transit Time record to define expected movement durations between locations.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Transit Time**.
2. Click **New**.
3. Enter source and destination locations where partner inventory moves.
4. For Usage Type, select **Channel Partner Inventory**.
5. Enter a duration and select a duration type.
6. Set the status to **Active** and save your changes.

Transit Time and Account Lead Time records define inventory availability, support reconciliation, and provide claims visibility.

## Add Account to Location Page Layout

Optionally, link partner accounts to locations by adding the Account field to the Location page layout. This enables account-level configuration and custom rules.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Object Manager, and then select **Object Manager**.
2. Click the object **Location**.
3. In the left menu, click on **Page Layouts**, and select **Location Layout**.
4. In the layout editor, click the **Fields** panel.
5. Drag the Account field from the panel and drop it onto the desired section of the page layout.
6. Save your changes.

The Account field appears on the Location page, allowing you to link partner accounts to specific locations.

## Create an Account Lead Time Record

Define default lead times at the account level for calculating partner inventory availability when no specific transit time record exists. Specify the account, lead time type, and duration to ensure consistent processing of partner inventory for reconciliation and claims.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Account Lead Time**.
2. Click **New**.
3. Enter a duration and select a duration type.
4. Select the partner account for which the lead time applies.
5. Select a lead time type.
6. Select the record status as **Active** to make it available for processing.
7. Save your changes.

If a transaction has no matching Transit Time record and no matching Account Lead Time record, the inventory is considered immediately available.
