# Export the Data Processing Engine Template

Export the JSON definition file from an existing CRMA-based Data Processing Engine (DPE) so that you have the configuration to modify for Data Cloud.

### Required Editions

1. Navigate to Salesforce Setup.
2. In the Quick Find box, search for and select **Data Processing Engine**.
3. Under **All Data Processing Engine Definitions**, locate your CRMA-based template.
4. Click the DPE definition name to open the visual builder canvas interface.
5. In the builder top action bar, click the **Download** button (represented by an underline-arrow icon).
6. Save the generated .json file to your local file system. The default name format is \[Your\_DPE\_Name\].json.
    
    You have the template JSON ready to modify for Data Cloud.
