Manufacturers create an Experience Cloud site for their partners. Partners can track the status of the transaction records using the Experience Cloud Site. Manufacturers can also create records on behalf of their partners.
- Log in to your Manufacturing Experience Cloud site.
- To add transaction details, click New on the Transaction Journals page.
- Select the Account related to the transaction.
- For the Journal Type, select Point of Sale Document.
-
Select a status. Based on the selected status, the point of sale document is processed
by reserving or adjusting the inventory.
Status description System Approved Signifies onhold debit ledgers. The inventory associated with the partner unsold inventory record is held in reserve in an OnHold state for the point of sale document. Approved Checks if there are onhold debits and approves them to create approved debit ledgers. The inventory associated with the partner unsold inventory record is held in reserve in Approved state for the point of sale document. Rejected Checks if there are onhold debits, and rejects the ledger record if there are such records present. The inventory associated with the partner unsold inventory record is held in reserve in Rejected state for the point of sale document. -
Save the information.
A transaction journal record of type Debit is created. The corresponding PUIL record is created with transaction type Debit. The Upsert Partner Unsold Inventory Ledgers using Transaction Journals Data Processing Engine then identifies the records with the status Pending and calculates the available inventory.
- Calculate On Hold Quantity
Calculate the quantity of inventory that must be kept in reserve based on the transaction journal records created for a partner. The partner uploads their point of sale document for your perusal. Here, they mention the units that have been sold to the end-customer. However, instead of directly adjusting the remaining quantity of unsold inventory you have on record for that partner, you can place the mentioned quantity on hold, that is, keep it on reserve till you can assess and approve the transaction record.
