To calculate remaining quantity

From the time the partner uploads the point of sale document, till the transaction is approved, the inventory quantity mentioned in the point of sale document is placed on hold. This means that the quantity of inventory is kept on reserve till the transaction is approved. Upon approval, this onhold quantity is deducted from the remaining quantity.

To see how to calculate the remaining quantity of unsold inventory, see Create Adjustments Manually.

Example
Example

Remaining Quantity = PoS Original Quantity - Credit Quantity

For example, if there is a point of sale with 1,000 units of a product. After the DPE is run, the PoS is linked to a PUI by creating a debit ledger entry containing a 1000 units.

If the original quantity of the sales document was a 10,000 units. 9,000 units were debited. Final remaining quantity is 1,000 units.
