On hold quantity is the inventory quantity that's on hold for being credited, based on the point of sale documents. After approval, the remaining quantity is adjusted based on the onhold quantity.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Partner Unsold Inventory Ledgers**.
2. Click **New**.
3. For the Source Type field, select **Point of Sale**.
4. For the transaction type field, select **Debit**.
5. Select the inventory quantity you want to adjust against the PUI.
6. Select the status as **On Hold**.
7. In the Transaction reference field, add the corresponding transaction journal.
8. Save the information.

In the PUI record, the On Hold Quantity and the Remaining Quantity are adjusted based on the onhold debit ledgers. If the on hold ledgers are approved, the remaining quantity remains unchanged, and the onhold quantity is released.

If the onhold ledgers are rejected, the remaining quantity and the onhold quantity are released.
