Prepare Your App’s Information for Android

Apply your company’s branding to assets for a Mobile Publisher for Experience Cloud Android app.

Here’s what you need for your Mobile Publisher project, to brand your Mobile Publisher for Experience Cloud app for Android.

Note
Note All image assets are PNG format. In the following section, image-related specifications are provided for your convenience. Since specifications frequently change, consult Add preview assets to showcase your app in Play Console Help and Google Play icon design specifications in Google Play Brand & marketing resources for the latest image-formatting guidelines. See also Support different pixel densities in the Android Developer Guide.
Important
Important Almost all Mobile Publisher apps were moved to the External Client App framework in the Summer '25 release. If your app is one of a few still using Connected Apps, refer to the help documentation for any customizations you need to make.

Experience Builder Site Info
Production Site URL

URL of an active Lightning Experience Cloud site from which you want to create a Mobile Publisher app. You can create up to five Android Mobile Publisher apps per org.

Mobile Publisher for Experience Cloud doesn’t support redirecting a site’s custom domain to another custom domain. In the site’s settings, make sure that Redirect to custom domain is not selected.

Sandbox Site URL

Optional. URL of the sandbox site. Use the sandbox site if you want a test environment, either for your own testing or for Google reviewers.

For information about how to switch between the sandbox and production environments, see Switch Between Testing Modes in the Experience Cloud App.

Beta Tester Information
Email Addresses Email addresses of beta testers, comma-separated. Your beta testers receive an email when the beta version of your app is ready to test. Beta testers need a Gmail or Google Workspace account.
Allowlist Custom URL Schemes
Add Custom URL Scheme

Click to add a custom URL scheme that allows deep linking from this app to the target app. You can add up to 5 deep links.

Important
Important

If your app uses custom URI schemes to open external native apps (such as kotak://, ibl://, or myapp://), add each scheme here. Links that aren’t added fail with ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME because the in-app WebView and browser can’t handle non-HTTP/HTTPS schemes.

URL Management
Note
Note Android now validates both the domain and the specific Experience Cloud site path when determining whether a URL belongs to your site, matching iOS behavior. For example, in https://capricornjuices.my.site.com/capricornjuices/s/, the domain is https://capricornjuices.my.site.com and the site path is capricornjuices/s/. This prevents links to external sites on the same domain from being incorrectly opened within the app. URLs not configured in URL Management now follow a unified precedence model across Android and iOS. See Manage How URLs Open from Your App for details.
WebView URLs Optional. Comma-separated list of URLs to open in the webview (in-app). Max 30 URLs.
In-App Browser URLs Optional. Comma-separated list of URLs to open in the in-app browser. Max 30 URLs.
External Browser URLs Optional. Comma-separated list of URLs to open in an external browser. Max 30 URLs.
In App Shared Cookie Browser URLs Optional. Comma-separated list of URLs to open internally in a web browser that shares cookies with the main webview. Max 30 URLs.
