# Set Policy Configurations for External Client Apps in Mobile Publisher

Policy configurations for your external client apps include lock screen policies, OAuth policies, and any custom attributes you want to add to your app. Policy configurations apply to the deployed version of the ECA. You can change policy configurations without creating a new ECA version.

Note The only changes you can make to an ECA after deployment are to the policy configurations. To edit policy configurations for a sandbox environment, you must log into that specific sandbox org and make the changes there. This allows you to test policy changes without affecting production. When you deploy an ECA to a sandbox, there’s no need to adjust the OAuth scopes, since the scopes are automatically adjusted.

- **[Pre-Authorize User App Access Through External Client App Policies](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.branded_apps_exp_allow_deny_con_app.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Configure who can use your app by defining which users are pre-authorized. Users who are pre-authorized can bypass the Allow or Deny permission pop-up when accessing the app.
