# Government Cloud Considerations

This section covers guidance specific to Government Cloud customers. Because these apps use the legacy connected apps framework, some procedures for building and maintaining your app will differ from the standard process.

As of the Winter '26 release, most Mobile Publisher apps are created using the new external client apps framework, and most existing Mobile Publisher apps are being migrated over to external client apps. Apps for Government Cloud customers are the exception to this.

Both new and existing Government Cloud apps will continue to be built on the legacy connected apps framework for now. Use the topics in this section for guidance specific to this environment.
