# Updates to the Android Mobile Client

See all the updates made to the Android mobile client, starting with the Summer '25 release.

## Version 262.010

Fixed Page Not Loading on Tab Bar Menu Items

Tapping a tab bar menu item sometimes showed a blank page instead of loading the page content. Tab bar menu items now load the correct page.

Build Fix for Non-English Language Apps

Fixed a build issue that affected apps that use a non-English default language.

Other Changes

Performance and quality improvements.

## Version 262.000

Faster, More Stable Apps

- Rebuilt the flow that loads your site at launch for a more reliable start. App startup now behaves the same way on iOS and Android.
- The app now waits up to 45 seconds for your site to load at launch. If it takes longer, the app moves on instead of leaving users waiting.
- Removed a slowdown that was adding noticeable lag to app load on Android.

Overall Improvements

- PDF screens now follow dark mode preferences, so they're easier on the eyes at night.
- Text in the URL Management settings is now consistent and properly localized.
- Uploading a file now works in your branded app's shared cookie browser.
- Downloading a file from an external link now works in your branded app's shared cookie browser.
- Tapping a deep link now opens the correct tab when the app launches from closed, matching how it already worked when the app was already open.
- Embedded screen flows on linked Experience Cloud site pages no longer get cut off.
- Fixed performance issues tied to the floating action button during app launch.

## Version 260.010

Overall Improvements

- Added support for enhanced CSRF tokens to improve authentication security.
- Added 16-KB memory page size support across all apps.
- Fixed audio and video permission issues in the shared cookie browser.
- Added support for downloads from external domains within the in-app webview.

## Version 260.000

Access Near Field Communication (NFC) Capabilities on Mobile Publisher Apps

Give users of Mobile Publisher apps the ability to use near field communication (NFC) to streamline workflows. NFC technology enables the device to read, erase, and write to tags natively.

See [the release note](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_mobile_nfc.htm&release=260&type=5&language=en_US).

Experience a Consistent URL Handling Journey Across Platforms

Branded apps now provide a more reliable and unified linking experience for users on both Android and iOS. We aligned URL handling logic to make sure that links, whether clicked during login or while navigating your site, behave consistently regardless of the platform.

See [the release note](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_mobile_url_management.htm&release=260&type=5&language=en_US).

Overall Improvements

- App notification badge is now cleared when a user opens the app.
- Fixed auto-scroll issues after deeplink navigation.

## Version 258.000

Overall Improvements

- Performance and quality improvements
- Bug fixes

## Version 256.010

App Interface No Longer Overlaps System Interface

Users of Android devices on OS version 15 and above no longer see an overlap of the app interface with the system interface.

See [the release note](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_mobile_publisher_ui_fix.htm&release=256&type=5&language=en_US).

## Version 256.000

View Mobile Content in Landscape Mode

Landscape mode is now supported in Mobile Publisher, making it easier to view and interact with your content. This feature is available on all form factors and devices, so you can use it on your phone, tablet, or desktop.

See [the release note](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_mobile_publisher_landscape.htm&release=256&type=5&language=en_US).

Align Mobile Publisher Release Numbering with Salesforce

Mobile Publisher is transitioning to align with the Salesforce major release numbering scheme. This change aligns Mobile Publisher apps with the well-supported core release cadence at Salesforce.

See [the release note](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_mobile_publisher_release_numbering.htm&release=256&type=5&language=en_US).
