# Access Your Personal Settings in Lightning Experience

If you use Lightning Experience, your personal settings are located either in Personal Setup or My Settings.

### Required Editions

Note Accessing personal settings isn’t supported on Lightning Experience on iPad Safari. We recommend that you use Lightning Experience on a desktop to access your personal settings.

1. At the top of any Salesforce page, click your image.
2. Click **Settings**.
3. On the left side of the page, click a menu item to display its submenu, then click the item you want.

    Tip To quickly find a page, type the first few characters of its name in the **Quick Find** box. As you type, pages that match your search terms appear in the menu. For example, to find the Personal Information page, type pers in the **Quick Find** box.

    Note If you receive an error message regarding insufficient privileges when trying to access your personal settings, ask your Salesforce admin to enable the Improved Setup User Interface option. If you’re an admin, from Setup, enter User Interface in the Quick Find box, then select **User Interface**. Select **Improved Setup User Interface**, and click **Save**.
