Quickly create a record from an object’s home page.

Create on the object for the kind of record you’re creating |

Click the object for the kind of record you want to create. For example, click Accounts
if you want to create an account record.

Click New.

Select a record type if you’re prompted.

Enter values in the fields.

Save your changes, when you finish entering values for your new record. If you navigate
away from the page before clicking Save, you lose your
changes.
Tip Salesforce Help includes field definitions for most objects. Search the help for the object name + “fields”. For example, if you’re creating or editing an account record, look up “Account Fields” in Salesforce Help.
