# Add, Remove, and Organize Your Tabs in Salesforce Classic

Salesforce Classic uses tabs as starting points for viewing, adding, and editing information for an object. Different apps can have different sets of tabs. Add tabs for items you use frequently in any app.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Salesforce Classic</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: all editions except <strong>Database.com</strong></td></tr></tbody></table>

It doesn’t matter which app you’re using when you open the Customize My Tabs page. From there, you can edit the tabs for any app you have access to.

1. In any app, click ![Icon of plus sign.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-xcloud-basics-264-0-0-production-enus/d8bf6981-f8ef-4f16-bfbd-c42ed32044eb/basics/images/tab_plus_icon.png) to the right of your current tabs.
2. Click **Customize My Tabs**.
3. To configure tabs for a different app, select one from the dropdown.

The Custom App field shows your current app by default.
4. Select a tab from the Available Tabs list and use the right arrow to move it into the Selected Tabs list.

To reorder the selected tabs, use the up and down arrows.
5. Save your work.
