# Create a Process Using Debit Points from Member Process Template

The Debit Points from Member process template contains a rule and a set of parameters that allow you to debit points from the points balance of a Loyalty Program Member. You can create a process using the template and extend it based on your requirements.

### Required Editions

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Loyalty Management**.
2. On the Loyalty Program list view, open the loyalty program for which you want to create the process.
3. Click **Loyalty Processes**.
4. On the Loyalty Program Processes related list, click **New**.
5. Select **Create from Template** and click **Next**.
6. From Transactional category, select **Debit Points from Member** and click **Next**.
7. Enter a name for the loyalty program process.
8. Select the **Loyalty Program Currency** in which you want to debit the points from the member’s points balance. For example, Reward Points, Tier Points.
9. Select the date from which the rule starts processing transaction journals and debits points from the member’s point balance.
10. Save your changes.

A loyalty program process is created and it contains rule named Debit Points. The process also contains parameters that are used in the rule.

You can update the Debit Points rule step based on your requirements or create additional rules for the process.
