Select Your Storage Region

Before you start backing up data, select the region where Backup & Recover Next stores backup data. Selecting a region helps your organization meet data residency requirements and align backup placement with disaster recovery plans.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Backup & Recover Data and Backup & Recover Files add-on licenses

User Permissions Needed
To select a storage region:	Manage Region Selection

Important After you save the region selection, you can’t change it.

1. Open Salesforce Backup & Recover Next.
2. Click Select Region.
3. Seledct a region and click Save.

Your region starts activating. When it’s finished, you’ll have access to backup settings and be able to start your first backup.
