1. Click the **Activities** tab.
2. Click **Search Data**.
3. Enter a search term. Use quotation marks for exact matches.
4. Select whether to search in **All Objects** or **Specific Objects**. If you select Specific Objects, enter the objects to search.
5. Select the backup range. Options include a specified backup, a range between two backups, or your entire backup history.
6. Select **Associated Objects** to search in Share, History, and Feed objects. These objects are excluded by default and including them can increase the search run time.
7. Click **Search**.

You can also start a search from the backup list or backup details pages to prepopulate the backup or object selection.

Note Search results are limited to 500 results per object and 5000 total results.

**Search Results**

A search begins and appears in the Activities list. When the search is complete, the results appear in the search activity. Search results show the records that contain your search term, separated by object. Each result shows which fields matched your search term and the range of backup dates where each record version appears. You can open a data privacy request from any record.
