# Pause Scheduled Backups

Pause and resume scheduled backups as needed. On-demand backups, compare, restore, and other app activities are still available when your scheduled backups are paused.

### Required Editions

1. In Salesforce Backup & Recover Next, click the **Settings** tab.
2. From the navigation bar on the left, click **Schedule**.
3. Set Scheduled Backups to **Inactive**.

Scheduled backups no longer run automatically. To resume backups, switch Scheduled Backups back to **Active**.
