# Configure Your Backup Retention Policy

Choose how long to retain your backups.

### Required Editions

1. In Salesforce Backup & Recover Next, click the **Settings** tab.
2. From the navigation bar on the left, click **Retention**.
3. Select the time to retain data for each retention period.
