# Cancel a Running Backup

Stop a running backup in Salesforce to fix an error in production data or modify default backup options.

### Required Editions

1. Click the **Backup** tab.
2. In the running backup's row, click !["Action Icon"](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-xcloud-setup-264-0-0-production-enus/6f21df35-9ea0-4f53-ac94-45c3b5dfd5bc/setup/images/action_menu.png), and then **Cancel Backup**.
3. Select a reason for canceling the backup.
4. Click **Cancel Backup**.
