# Enable Field Service for Timesheets and Labor Cost Optimization

To use Timesheets and Labor Cost Optimization, enable and set up the latest version of Field Service in your org.

### Required Editions

To enable Field Service, from Setup, find and select **Field Service Setup Home**. Click **View Steps**, then click **Turn On**. [Set Up the Basics](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.fs_enable.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

To ensure that Timesheets works correctly, you must also set up territories, operating hours, your workforce, and other components of Field Service based on your business needs. See [Set Up the Basics](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.fs_enable.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
