# Creating a Timesheet Template

Create a template that field service technicians use to quickly create timesheets with a consistent format. You can then use the template to automatically create timesheets for technicians.

### Required Editions

To create templates of timesheets, you must set up Salesforce Scheduler. See [Manage Appointments with Salesforce Scheduler](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_overview.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

Time sheet records are automatically created only for service resource records that have Resource Type set to Technician. If you have multiple technicians, you can assign the time sheet template to their profile to automatically create time sheet records for all of them.
