- Enable Inventory Count
To set up and use Inventory Count, turn on Inventory Count in Setup.
- Inventory Count Permission Sets
Salesforce admins, inventory managers, and inventory auditors require permissions to set up, manage, and perform inventory counts.
- Set Up Salesforce Field Service App for Inventory Count
The Salesforce Field Service mobile app is an intuitive, offline-first app that helps companies manage their field service and onsite operations. Inventory auditors can easily enter product counts, scan product barcodes, and note count observations by using the app. Set up the Salesforce Field Service mobile app, and customize it based on your unique processes. To help auditors perform counts, add the Inventory Count Assessment list view to a Salesforce Field Service app configuration by using the Field Service Mobile App Builder.
- Define Location Hierarchy
Organize your inventory facilities by defining parent-child relationships between locations. By defining a location hierarchy, you can group sub-locations such as aisles, shelves, or rooms under a single parent warehouse or service center. This structure allows inventory managers to create comprehensive inventory count plans for an entire facility at once, reducing the administrative effort of managing hundreds of individual sub-locations.
