## Count Non-Serialized Products

Non-serialized products are products that are tracked as members of a group and don't have serial numbers. To capture counts for non-serialized products, enter the quantity of the products at the inventory location.

1. From the Field Service mobile app, open the Inventory Count Assessment tab.
2. To count products at a designated location on a particular planned date, open an inventory count assessment that's assigned to you.

An inventory count assessment groups the product items to be counted by an assignee on a designated location at a particular planned start date.
3. Open the Related tab, and then tap **Inventory Count Product Items**.

A list of inventory count product items appears, where each inventory count product item represents a product to be counted as a part of the assessment.
4. Open the inventory count product item record for the product to be counted.
5. From the Actions pane, tap **Perform Count**.
6. In Actual Quantity, enter the quantity of products that you count at the inventory location, and then tap **Update Count**.

Updating the count replaces the actual quantity value; it doesn't incrementally add values to the actual quantity value. Keep updating the count as you count products at the inventory location.
7. After you count the products, tap **Next**.
8. Review the details of the count.

For blind counts, you can review only the actual quantity of the count. For non-blind counts, you can review the actual quantity, expected quantity, and inventory accuracy for the count.
9. When you complete the count, select **Counting completed**.
10. If necessary, select a discrepancy reason type.
11. To provide additional context, instructions, or key observations, enter a comment.
12. Save your work.

If you didn't complete the count, save your count details and resume the count anytime before the planned end date for the inventory count assessment.

Perform counts for other inventory count product items in the inventory count assessment.

Inventory managers can monitor count progress and captured counts by opening the required inventory count product item records.

## Count Serialized Products

Serialized products are products that are tracked individually and have unique serial numbers. To capture counts for serialized products, you can enter the products' serial numbers or scan their barcodes. You can track the serial number of each counted serialized product.

1. From the Field Service mobile app, open the Inventory Count Assessment tab.
2. To count products at a designed location on a particular planned date, open an inventory count assessment that's assigned to you.

    2. Hold your device steady and scan the barcode.
    3. After the scanner identifies the barcode, tap **Search**.

After you add a serial number, you can view it in the list of serial numbers of counted serialized products.
8. After you count the products, tap **Next**.
9. Review the details of the count.

For blind counts, you can review only the actual quantity of the count. For non-blind counts, you can review the actual quantity, expected quantity, and inventory accuracy for the count.
