Create a search criteria configuration to design the inventory batch search experience for your users. You can define the fields from the searchable object that can be used as search criteria and shown in the search results. You can also define the display format of the search result and how search results can be filtered, grouped, aggregated, and sorted. For your inventory batch search experience, create a search criteria configuration based on the Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field object.

To create an inventory batch search experience, in your search criteria configuration, you select a searchable object configuration for inventory batch search. So, create a searchable object configuration with the Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field as the searchable object and an activated copy of the Update Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field Values data processing engine (DPE) definition template as the data sync job.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Criteria-Based Search and Filter, and then select **Criteria-Based Search and Filter**.
2. On the Search Configuration tab, click **New**.
3. Select **Default Search** for configuration type, and click **Next**.
4. Enter the basic details of the search configuration.
    1. Enter a name.

This name appears on the search component. Based on the name, the API name is automatically populated.
    2. For Searchable Object, search for and select **Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field**.
    3. For Searchable Object Configuration, select the searchable object configuration that you created for the Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field object.
    4. Enter a description.
    5. Click **Next**.
5. Select the fields in the Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field object used for querying data, and then click **Next**.

Select fields that represent attributes about your inventory that inventory managers use to search for products. For example, Product Name, Model Name, Make Year, and Product Version Name.
6. Select the display format of search results, and then click **Next**.
7. For a List display format, select the fields in the Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field object that will show information about the search results, and then click **Next**.

Select the fields that represent attributes about your inventory. For example, Inventory Location Name and Total Quantity At Location. Inventory managers analyze these fields when they search for inventory.
8. Define the criteria to get location details to generate search results or select **Skip this step**, and then click **Next**.
9. Select the fields in the Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field object for grouping and aggregating search results, or select **Skip this step**, and then click **Next**.

Select fields that can have a wide range of values in case the user wants to group the results based on these values. For example, Product Family, Inventory Location Type, and Business Brand Name.
10. Select fields in the Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field object for sorting search results, and then click **Next**.

Select the fields with values that inventory managers can use to sort results alphabetically, by date, or by number. For example, Total Quantity At Location, Inventory Location Name, and Product Name.
11. Select the action configuration for the Product Transfer action that you created.
12. Click **Done**.
13. To make the configuration available for selection when you add the Criteria-Based Search and Filter component to a page, click **Activate**.
