Product

A stock-keeping unit in the product portfolio, representing the commercial item.

Location

The inventory location, such as a physical warehouse.

Product Item

The specific stock of a product at a particular location.

Product Fulfillment Location

The user-defined source location from which the inventory of a product is allocated.

Serialized product

Represents a specific serialized product instance and tracks its availability for reservations. It captures the allocation state through the Allocation Status field, which supports the following values:

  • None: The initial state indicating the instance is not allocated.
  • Allocated: The instance is currently reserved.
  • Deallocated: The instance has been released from its reservation.

Inventory Reservation

Stores allocation information for a specific order (a sales order or work order). It captures additional details such as the reservation date.

Inventory item Reservation

Stores the allocation information for a specific product and location. It captures additional details, such as allocated quantity and reservation status.

Note
Note InventoryItemReservation records persist even if the originating OrderLineItem or ReturnOrderLineItem is deleted. In these cases, the system sets the ItemReservationSourceId field to null to preserve audit history and maintain backward compatibility.

Inventory Item Instance Reservation

Stores the inventory reservation for a specific item instance, such as a serialized product or an asset, from an item reservation source. It allocates specific serial numbers from a location and ensures that those items aren't allocated to other orders.

Product Item Additional Transaction

An individual transaction that records a change in the state and quantity of a specific product item. It captures transactions related to quantity state other than on-hand quantity, such as allocated quantity.
