    1. From Setup, find and select Criteria-Based Search and Filter.
    2. Turn on Criteria-Based Search and Filter.
  4. Assign the Criteria-Based Search and Filter (CBSF) user permission to relevant profiles or permission sets.
  5. Create and activate search configurations for the searchable objects. Set up searchable fields for ProductInventorySearchableField (Manufacturing) or VehicleSearchableField (Auto).
  6. Ensure that the Product Inventory Searchable Field (PSF) flat entity is populated. The Inventory Agent reads all search and summary results exclusively from this flat entity, not directly from Product Inventory.
  7. Load data into all entities referenced by the Product Inventory Searchable Field (PSF). This includes Product, Inventory Location, Product Inventory, and any related entities used in data flattening.
  8. Create replenishment policies for the required products and locations. These minimum and maximum values are needed for the Inventory Management Agent to calculate stock status and generate accurate inventory summaries. Inventory summaries rely on stock status (shortage, excess, optimal), which is calculated using these policy min/max values. Without Replenishment Policies, the agent may return empty or inaccurate summaries.
  9. Run the Data Processing Engine (DPE) after enabling CBSF, loading data, and creating Replenishment Policies. The PSF flat entity must be refreshed for the Agent to return accurate results.
Note
Note
  • Ensure that the product name, inventory location name, and stock status are configured as search fields in the CBSF search configuration.
  • Users must have read access to inventory data objects to retrieve results using the agent.
  • Use the Data Processing Engine to regularly load and update inventory data
