Create and Share an App from the Analytics for Loyalty Template

Create an app from the Analytics for Loyalty template and share it with your users.

Required Editions

Available in: Developer, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions that have Loyalty Management enabled.
  1. Navigate to CRM Analytics Studio.
  2. Click Create, then select App.
  3. Select Analytics for Loyalty, then click Continue.
  4. Take a quick look at the preview page, then click Continue to open the configuration wizard.
  5. To create an app or use settings from an existing app, make a selection, and click Continue.
  6. Analytics performs a compatibility check of your Salesforce org’s data. If it uncovers any issues, you see error messages with instructions about how to address them. Fix the issues and try app creation again. If it completes the check successfully, click Looks good, next.
  7. The next page of the wizard asks you to make two selections.
    1. The first wizard question asks if you want to see tier history data in your dashboards. To see it, enable field history tracking for the Loyalty Tier and the Reason for Change fields in the Loyalty Member Tier object.
    2. The second question asks if you want your program managers to also see the Member Services data. To let program managers access loyalty programs and member services data, select Yes. To let your program managers access only loyalty program data, select No.
  8. Click Looks good, next.
  9. Name your app, then click Create.

View the status of the app creation on the next screen. The process takes a minute or two. After it’s complete, refresh the page to see your app.

    Note
Note If you see an error saying the Analytics Integration User doesn’t have access to selected fields, edit Salesforce field-level security.

Share the app with your users. You can share it only with users assigned the admin or user permission sets for Analytics for Loyalty.

Note
Note If you have only the Loyalty Analytics Base subscription, you can share your app only with users assigned the CLAAnalytics Base Admin or CLAAnalytics Base User permission sets.
  • Open your app if it’s not already open. If you navigated away from CRM Studio, go back to it, select All Items, find your app, and click it.
  • Click share.
  • In the next screen, select Invite others: and then enter names to find users in your org.
  • To define the selected user’s access, select Viewer, Editor, or Manager.
  • Click Add, then save your changes.
Note
Note You can delete customers’ data from the Analytics for Loyalty app by deleting records from the trending dataset. See Delete Records from Trending Datasets.
