# Set Up Secondary Research Validation

Add secondary research data validation to a Contact or Lead configuration so that AI Relationship Research checks employer information and flags discrepancies on the AI Relationship Research graph.

You enable validation while you create or edit a configuration. 1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter AI Relationship Research, then select **AI Relationship Research Setup**.
2. On the setup landing page, click **New AI Relationship Research Configuration** or edit an existing configuration.
3. Select the configuration type **AI Relationship Research Setup with Secondary Validation**.
4. Enter a configuration label, description, and then click **Save and Continue**.
5. Select **Lead** or **Contact** as the research anchor object.
6. Select data sources.
7. Prioritize relationship types.
8. Configure secondary research data validation.
    1. Click **Set Up**.
    2. Turn on **Secondary Research Validation**.
    3. Turn on **Employer Verification**.
    4. Click **Save and Continue**.
9. Activate the configuration.

Each time research runs for a Contact or Lead record, AI Relationship Research validates the employer information. When the current employer doesn't match the discovered employer, a warning icon appears on the affected AI Relationship Research graph node.
