# Create Account Account Relations

Create Account Account Relation (AccountAccountRelation) records to link a customer account to its specific partner accounts, such as Bill To, Ship To, Payer, or Wholesaler or Broker fulfillment accounts.

### Required Editions

During order capture, the engine evaluates active Account Account Relation records that match the order's Internal Organization Unit (IOU) to automatically prepopulate partner fields and validate fulfillment accounts.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Account Account Relations**.
2. Click **New**.
3. Specify the primary account details.

    - **Account (Source Account)**: Select the main customer account placing the order.
    - **Related Account**: Select the partner account (for example, the specific Wholesaler, Ship To, Bill To, or Payer account).
4. Assign the role relationship.

    - **Party Role Relation**: Select the party role relationship record (created in the previous step) that classifies this relationship (for example, Customer - Wholesaler or Customer - Ship To).
5. Set operational scoping and flags.

    - **Internal Organization Unit**: Select the IOU to scope this relationship to a specific market unit.
    - **Is Primary**: Select this checkbox if this is the primary partner account for this role type within the selected IOU. Order capture automatically selects primary relationships first when populating transaction headers.
6. Define active validity dates.

    - **Start Date** and **End Date**: Set the date range during which this account relationship is active.
7. Click **Save**.
