The state codes and state/province names your standard country/territory picklist uses for Japan depend on when the standard country/territory picklist was configured. Refer to this table for state/province names with special considerations.

### Required Editions

| 01 | Hokkaido |   |
| 02 | Aomori | 02 is the state code for Aomori for orgs where standard country/territory picklists were configured in Spring ‘26 and later. For orgs where standard country/territory picklists were configured in Winter ‘26 and earlier, the state code 23 is used. |
| 03 | Iwate |   |
| 04 | Miyagi |   |
| 05 | Akita | 05 is the state code for Akita for orgs where standard country/territory picklists were configured in Spring 26 and later. For orgs where standard country/territory picklists were configured in Winter ‘26 and earlier, the state code 02 is used. |
