# Field Mappings for Eligible and Applied Rebate Types

Use the ObjectHierarchyRelationship metadata API to map fields between any standard or custom object and Transaction Journal. Rebate Management uses these field mappings to show the list of eligible and applied rebate types on the Program Rebate Types panel of a target record. The eligibility criteria of a rebate type determine whether it’s shown on a transaction record.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and <strong>Developer</strong> Editions that have Rebate Management enabled.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Example

The Incentive X rebate type has these conditions for eligibility criteria.

- Select Records When: **All Conditions are Met (AND)**
- First Condition
    - Field: **Product Category**
    - Operator: **Equals**
    - Value: **Radius**
- Second Condition
    - Field: **Quantity**
    - Operator: **Greater Than**
    - Value: 4

The rebate type is selected as Integratable, and the associated rebate program has no member in it.

An account manager creates a Quote record with these attributes.

- Account: **Acme**
- Quote Item: **Radius CPro**
- Quote Item Quantity: 6

The admin creates a mapping between Quote and Transaction Journal for these fields.

| Input Object | Input Object Field | Output Object | Output Object Field |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Quote | Account | Transaction Journal | Member |
| Quote Line Item | Product2 ID | Transaction Journal | Product ID |
| Quote Line Item | Quantity | Transaction Journal | Quantity |

Since the default mappings for fields in the Transaction Journal and Rebate Member Product Aggregate exist, and there aren't any custom fields in the Transaction Journal, the admin doesn't define any field mappings for these objects.

When the account manager adds to the quote a quantity of six units of the Radius CPro product, the Eligible tab shows the Incentive X rebate type. The Applied tab shows no rebate type.

When the account manager adds Incentive X to the quote, the Applied tab shows the rebate type and the Eligible tab shows no records.

Similarly, if the product or quantity values change on Quote Line Item, the Incentive X rebate type isn’t visible on the Eligible tab.
