Eligibility Criteria
The rebate program offers a revenue-based rebate type. The program has 12 monthly payout periods.
For the revenue-based rebate type, the program manager defines the eligibility criteria to include transactions for Radius and Spectra products.
Benefit Tiers
The program manager creates these benefit tiers for the revenue-based rebate type:
- Tier 1: Offers no rebate when the transaction amount is less than $500 for Radius.
- Tier 2: Offers a $200 rebate when the transaction amount is between $501 and $900 for Radius.
- Tier 3: Offers a $500 rebate when the transaction amount exceeds $901 for Radius.
- Tier 4: Offers a $400 rebate when the transaction amount is between $501 and $1500 for Spectra.
- Tier 5: Offers a $600 rebate when the transaction amount exceeds $1501 for Spectra.
Data Processing Engine
The Transaction Journal records are filtered based on the eligibility criteria for each rebate type. For example, the two transaction records for Compass aren’t considered for calculation. The definition then aggregates quantity and amount values for Radius and Spectra separately and updates records in the Rebate Member Product Aggregate object. For each payout period, two aggregate records—one for each product—are created for a member.
Aggregate Data
These sample records are created in the Rebate Member Product Aggregate object for January.
| Record | Member | Payout Period | Rebate Type | Product | Total Quantity | Total Transaction Amount |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Record 1 | Acme | Jan FY21 | Revenue-Based | Radius | 9 | $900 |
| Record 2 | Acme | Jan FY21 | Revenue-Based | Spectra | 9 | $1080 |
These values update whenever the scheduled flow runs. The flow triggers the data processing engine definition. The aggregate values on the payout calculation date for Jan FY21 are used to update the final payout amounts in the Member Payout object.
Final Payouts
Acme receives these payouts for the revenue-based rebate type based on the benefit tier they qualified for.
- For Radius, Acme receives $200 because the total transaction amount of $900 matches Tier 2.
- For Spectra, Acme receives $400 because the total transaction amount of $1080 matches Tier 4.
