Payouts are the actual amounts paid to members based on finalized transactions and tier
attainment for a payout period. To compute payouts, run a sequence of six Data Processing Engine
(DPE) definitions on Data Cloud using a payout calculation basis. The engine aggregates
finalized transactions, determines each member's tier attainment, and syncs output back to
Salesforce Core across three payout objects.

- Set Up Program and Data Ingestion
Before running payout calculations, ensure your program rules, eligibility criteria, and transaction sources are properly configured.
- Calculation Engine and Data Output
When a rebate type's Calculation Basis is set to Payout or Payout and Accrual, the advanced engine executes a coordinated sequence of six DPE definitions on Data Cloud. The engine automatically runs delta calculations to evaluate new or modified transactions since the last run, aggregating high-volume data without affecting core org performance.
- Automate Rebate Payout Calculation Processes with Flows
Automate the end-to-end rebate calculation lifecycle on Data Cloud using the configurable, predefined orchestration flow, Manage Rebate Payout and Accrual Calculations. You can clone this flow, customize it to meet your business needs, and schedule it to run at regular intervals. Each run handles continuous data aggregation and incremental payout updates as new transactions are ingested. When a period's Payout Calculation Date is reached, post-calculation actions finalize values, update records across Program Rebate Type Payout Source, Program Rebate Type Payout, and Rebate Program Member Payout, and set the payout and period statuses to Calculated and Closed.
