# Add a Program Partner

You can add program partners to the loyalty programs. The program partners can only be an account in the organization.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience in&nbsp;<strong>Enterprise</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Performance</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Developer</strong>&nbsp;Editions</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Orgs that have the B2C - Loyalty, B2C - Loyalty Plus, B2B - Loyalty, Loyalty Management - Growth, or Loyalty Management - Advanced license enabled</td></tr></tbody></table>

1. In the Loyalty Programs tab, select your loyalty program.
2. On the Members and Partners tab, under Loyalty Program Partners, click **New**.
3. Enter a name for the program partner.
4. Select an account for the program partner.
5. Select the type of program partner.
    - If the partner rewards member with points for doing business with them, select **Accrual**.
    - If the members redeem their points with the partner, select **Redemption**.
    - If the partner is accrual and redemption, select **Both**.
6. Select the program partnership start date and end date.
7. Select the type of industry.
    
    Picklist values for Industry aren’t provided by default. Based on the requirements of the organization, admins must add picklist values for the field in Object Manager.
8. Select **Active**.
9. Select **Billing Type** of the partner.
    
    For prepaid billing, the partner buys point packs from the loyalty program. For postpaid billing, the partner pays the bill amount after offering their products or services to members. This is available only for Expanded Partner Management.
10. Select the category for the program partnership.
11. Enter the accrual cost per unit and the redemption cost per unit.
    
    - The Accrual Cost per Unit is the cost per point associated with the transactions of the accrual partner.
    - The Redemption Cost per Unit is the cost per point associated with the transactions of the redemption partner.

    Note The Accrual Cost per Unit and the Redemption Cost per Unit fields are not available by default. Navigate to the **Object Manager** > **Loyalty Program Partner** > **Page Layouts** and add the fields to the custom UI screen.
12. In the Partner Linkage Details section, enter the following information:
    1. To allow linking of the partner with other loyalty program memberships, select **Allow Linking**.
    2. Select a date and time from which you can link the partner with other loyalty program memberships.
    3. Select a date and time after which you can't link the partner with other loyalty program memberships.

        Note Make sure the linking window falls within the program partnership start and end dates.
13. Save your changes.
