# Add a Connector to an External App Without the Guided Wizard

Connect to an external app by using direct configuration.

1. Open the Automation app.
2. From the Automation - Integrations tab, select **New Connection**.
3. Select a connector, such as Jira or Google Sheets.
4. Select **Create Connection**.
5. Enter authentication details for your external app, select your triggers and actions, and enter your field details. You can also create custom fields if needed.
6. Select **Create**.

The connection wizard generates your flow and saves it.

Note You can save a limited number of flows. See the Considerations section in [Integration Basics for Salesforce Suites](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.connect_external_apps.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Salesforce Suites is built on a simple idea: Your business runs smoother when everything you need lives under one roof, especially your data. But what about the external apps your business relies on, like accounting and project management tools? Salesforce prebuilt integrations bridge that gap by bringing your external app data into your Suites workspace and eliminating siloed data.").
