# Manage the Slack Lightning Web Component on Record Pages

Follow these guidelines to use Salesforce channels on a record page via the Lightning web component. When a record page contains a Slack channel component, users in Salesforce can view or create a Slack channel for that record.

### Required Editions

          </tr>

      </table>

After you choose which objects to support in the setup process, add the Slack channel component for those record pages in Lightning App Builder.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and select **Slack Channels for Records**.
2. In the Configured Objects section, open the dropdown next to an object and select **View Record Pages**.
3. Click **Edit** next to a record page configuration.
4. In Lightning App Builder, drag the Slack component from the Components list to a location in the record page. You can move the component around the page to a location that suits your needs.
5. Click **Activation** to activate the record page.
6. Save your changes.

To use Salesforce channels via the Slack panel rather than the Lightning web component, see Manage the Slack Panel.
