# Set Record Detail Security for Your Salesforce Apps

From Salesforce Setup, you can set the level of detail for Salesforce record previews in Slack. At this time, this setting affects the Sales Cloud for Slack app only.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.</td></tr></tbody></table>

From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Slack, and then select **Enable Slack for Salesforce**. Choose one of these two settings.

- Show object type only: The most secure option for data privacy. For example, if there’s a change to a Salesforce record that results in a Slack notification, Slack members see only the key fields and no record name. Users with access to the record can view more details.
- Show record name: Includes the record name and key fields, even to users who don’t have access in Salesforce. Users with Salesforce access can get more details about the record.
