# Salesforce Apps for Slack Limitations

Learn about limitations in the Salesforce apps for Slack.

Salesforce for Slack apps currently include these limitations.

## Compact Layout for Record Views

Salesforce records that are displayed in Slack using the legacy dynamic layout are subject to Slack’s block limit, which is 100 blocks in a modal. If a record is too large to be displayed or edited in a Slack modal, some fields aren’t shown. In this case, you’re prompted to view or edit the record in Salesforce. This prompt is contingent on whether the component is used within the sales app, service app, or another third-party view. For the best results, create your own Slack record layout if the issue persists.

## Label Localization

Labels that are provided by the Slack client always use your Slack’s language setting. These labels aren’t localized if your Slack and Salesforce locales are different. For example, these labels are provided by Slack and they’re displayed based on your Slack’s language setting.

- **(optional)** label on an optional input field
- **Press 'enter' to submit** label for the hint text that appears below an input field
- **Close** button label on a modal

To ensure that your labels are localized correctly, change your Slack language to match the Salesforce language. Additionally, some labels continue to be displayed in English only during the beta release.

## Blackjack Not Supported

At this time, Salesforce for Slack isn’t certified with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). ## Object-Level Support for Slack Record Layouts
