Note Salesforce for Slack is a legacy app that is installed from the Slack Marketplace. For the newest experience, start with Agentforce Sales in Slack.

A Slack admin must approve and install Salesforce for Slack before it’s available in your workspace.

You can connect Salesforce for Slack to a Salesforce org by entering /sfhq-connect and following the on-screen instructions. If you're already connected, this slash command replies with your connection status.

Alternatively, to connect to a Salesforce org:

1. From the Apps section in the Slack sidebar, select **Salesforce**.
2. On the App Home tab, click **Connect your account**.
3. In the browser window, click **Connect**.
4. Enter your Salesforce username and password, and click **Log In**.

If your org uses a custom domain, log in by clicking **Use Custom Domain** instead.
5. Select the workspace where you want to use the app and allow access.
6. When prompted to give the app access to your workspace, click **Allow**.
7. Salesforce prompts you that Slack wants to access your Salesforce account. Select **I agree to allow Slack to access my Salesforce account**, and then click **Allow**.

Salesforce for Slack is now connected to Salesforce, and the browser redirects you back to the app in Slack.
