# Creating Records That Establish the Vendor-Partner Relationship

Salesforce admins at both companies must create records that establish the vendor-partner relationship in Salesforce. Admins provide these records during Partner Connect setup.

- From the vendor org, the vendor admin must complete these steps.
- - Verify that the vendor org has a partner account that represents the partner company.
    - Verify that the vendor org has a partner user to represent the partner admin and that the user has access to the vendor’s Experience Cloud partner site. The partner user must be added as a related contact on the partner account that represents the partner company.
    - Verify that the vendor org includes a partner user for each user whom the vendor wants to export records.
- From the partner org, the partner admin must verify that the partner org has an account that represents the vendor company. The account can be an [account](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.basics_creating_records_on_tabs.htm&type=5&language=en_US) or a [partner account](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=experience.networks_partner_community_create_account.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
