# Share Analytics with Your Teammates in Slack

Wherever analytics items appear, whether in the CRM Analytics for Slack app or in your channels, you can share them with teammates.

Share analytics items with or without a snapshot and accessible .pdf file.

Important The snapshot and accompanying accessible .pdf file contain your personal view with the latest data, including any confidential data. Consider that, after sharing, others can see and share your personal view. Alternatively, sharing without an image lets others run their own snapshot with their default views and security predicates.

**Share with a Snapshot**

To share an analytics item with an image and an attached accessible .pdf file:

1. Click the three dots next to an item to open its action menu.
2. Select **Share**.
3. Enter the people to share the item, and if you like, add a message.
4. Select **Share Preview**. If the item is a dashboard that has saved views, select the view to share.
5. Click **Done**.

Items shared with individuals appear in the Messages tab of their CRM Analytics for Slack app. Items shared with channels are posted directly in the channel.

Note Lightning Web Components within dashboards don't appear in snapshots posted in Slack.

After an item is shared with a snapshot, your teammates have these options:

- Download as PDF
- Open the item in Salesforce

**Share without a Snapshot**

To share an analytics item without an image:

1. Click the three dots next to an item to open its action menu.
2. Select **Share**.
3. Enter the people to share the item, and if you like, add a message.
4. Leave **Share Preview** unselected.
5. Click **Done**.

Items shared with individuals appear in the Messages tab of their CRM Analytics for Slack app. Items shared with channels are posted directly in the channel.

After an item is shared without a snapshot, your teammates have these options.

- View item details
- View a snapshot
- Download as PDF
- Open the item in Salesforce
